From the artist: Greer is anti-labels and pro-complexity. Greer is a queer, gender-free, sex & self-love championing, pagan, socialist, and probably other stuff, performance artist whose work is a combination of auto-ethnographic abstraction for challenging perception alongside salacious trickstering.
Improvisers!! Upcoming: our wonderful friends at The Seed have available spots for their next Improv Diagnostics class. Asaf Ronen and his company have had a frequent presence at Grotto 101 since our doors opened. Per the course description: “This class is intended for intermediate/advanced improvisers (18 & older) with some prior improv experience.”
And our newest friend, Gloria, is crafting up with community for Valentine’s Day! Join Gloria’s Monthly Social for an entertaining morning of creating personalized notes, cards, and scents with a bonus live musical performance. Gloria is a theatrical performer and host who blends crowd work, storytelling, and live performance. She creates a space where audiences are part of the show, combining theatre, music, and presence into one unforgettable moment.

EFF-Austin Holiday Party 2025!
Come celebrate digital privacy rights on the electronic frontier with us!
When: December 12, 2025, 7pm-10pm
Our guest this year is Steve Jackson, founder of Steve Jackson Games. He will give his guest talk via remote video at 7:30.
Talk Summary: As the Electronic Frontier Foundation was coming together in 1990, one of its key inspirations was the Steve Jackson Games case.
On March 1 of that year, the Secret Service raided Steve Jackson Games and seized computers and floppy disks, including a server holding private email from the Illuminati BBS. With EFF’s support, Steve sued the Secret Service—and won.
During that period he convened a community meeting that led to the founding of EFF-Austin. Steve, now living in Atlanta, will join Jon Lebkowsky for a live video conversation that we’ll project during the Christmas event.

Photo from the EFF-Austin crypto conference that we had in the 90s!
