Our Philosophy
Grotto 101, est.2024, has every intention to provide affordable space rental for artists in a city that is rapidly becoming unsustainable for so many creatives.
We also cherish this space with love, integrity, and respect.
We acknowledge that Grotto 101 has been built and rests on the unceded lands of the Tonkowa, Sana, Jumano, Lipan Apache, and Coahuiltecan people. A portion of all rental fees to this space will be donated to Great Promise for American Indians, a nonprofit organization that hosts the Austin Powwow.
We state a preference to offer Grotto 101 to those who seek an intimate and modular performance lab or studio for creative use.
We wish to nurture relationships before profit margins with the stark awareness that we, too, must maintain our own sustainability. We practice, to the best of our practical ability, the philosophy of fostering a “virtuous local economic system.” We are a local business with mighty dreams! We are not so keen on marketing via social media, so the best place to ask questions about Grotto 101 is through this site and our privacy-focused newsletter (coming soon…).

Bulk pricing at lower rates is available as well as other options for industry-specific economic circumstances. Workday hours between 9am -5pm are reduced rates. We are interested in uplifting community and establishing relationships that benefit as many involved as possible. Please be in touch.
Deposits and Refund Policy
Deposits for 100% of reservation amount must be made upon booking to hold the reservation and be entered into Grotto 101’s calendar. Cancellations for full refunds up to 7 days before first day of event reservation. No refunds after 7 days before first day of reservation.
